Certification is risk reduction
For an importer, food-safety certification is not paperwork — it is protection. HACCP is a systematic approach to identifying and controlling hazards in production; ISO 22000 wraps that into a full food-safety management system.
What to expect per lot
A serious supplier provides, on request: a Certificate of Analysis (COA), specification sheet, and traceability back to the production lot. For preserved foods, that includes checks on brine, oil, and closure integrity.
Why it matters for gourmet
Gourmet buyers make clean-label and quality claims on-pack. Those claims are only as strong as the documentation behind them — which is why sourcing from a certified facility protects your brand.
